Background: PCDHGC3 (Protocadherin gamma subfamily C, 3) is a member of the protocadherin family, a subgroup of the cadherin superfamily. It is a member of subfamily C of the gamma cluster of protocadherin genes on 5q31. It is a calcium-dependent cell-adhesion protein which may be involved in the establishment and maintenance of specific cell-cell connections in the brain.
